SYNOPSIS
A ridge of high pressure is extending from the northeast toward the
Adriatic, while a low over the Ionian Sea is deepening.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
NE, in the open sea NW wind, strengthening to 16-34, in the North
Adriatic up to 40, in the Velebit Channel up to 55 knots. Sea
increasing to 4-5, in the open possibly up to 6. Visibility 10-20 km.
Mainly cloudy with rain in the South Adriatic and in the open, and with
a risk of snow along the coast, mainly in the Velebit Channel and in
the area of Rijeka.

Mainly cloudy with scattered rain in the open and with a risk of snow
along the coast, mainly in the north of the Adriatic. Strong and gale
force, in the Velebit Channel up to storm force NE, locally in the open
NW wind. Sea moderate and rough, in the open possibly up to very rough.
Air temperatures will warm up a little.
